Welcome to Red Crow Rising. This website is dedicated to the writings of a remarkable woman named Laura Marie Byrne. Laura wrote extensively of her personal battles, first with the debilitating chronic pain of Rheumatoid Arthritis, and later of her fight against a rare and incurable form of cancer called Pseudomyxoma Peritonei, or PMP. Her last request of her brother (your humble web-author) was to see that these writings be made available to other people suffering from chronic pain and facing end-of-life challenges due to terminal illness.

Her writings are in the form of journals and poetry as well as essays and free-writing done towards the completion of a Master's Degree in Individual studies. My task has been the transcription and compilation of these varied works into a cohesive form that could possibly be of help to others facing similar challenges to hers.

The result is Red Crow Rising.
